OUR PROGRAM
VoxBox offers a hands-on, engaging portfolio of programming that is perfect for school groups, youth organizations, after-school clubs, camps, and a wide variety of other institutions. It starts with a set of thinking tools designed to help participants analyze and understand our modern world. This is followed by a practical framework for taking civic action, then by steps for applying these tools and building skills in cooperation and problem solving. Finally, we provide a platform for collaboration among teams, creating a national network of young people ready to take on the challenges of tomorrow.
STEP 1
Step one is preparation. We are developing a Preceptor that conveys 12 ways of apprehending the world that are each conveyed in different ways to different learning styles. The point is to encourage systemic thinking in terms of relationships and dynamic change, rather than as isolated entities subject to transactions.
STEP 2
Step two is for local groups to select an issue of concern and develop frameworks to direct action to address said issue. The difficulties that a community might tackle can be specific to the community, or they can be systemic, such as misinformation, education, mental health, fear of the future, cultural divides, the environment, personal autonomy/freedom, or sustainable economic developement.
STEP 3
Step three is to aggregate these group efforts into a larger collective so that they can exchange best practices, form connections, and build on the experience that comes both from success and from mistakes and lessons learned.
